- Playing this course, you will walk a dirt road trodden by the Micmac Indians and the Acadians, early settlers of Cap Rouge and Petit Étang transporting their canoe on their shoulders to reach Chéticamp. Up to this day, it is called "Le Portage", a very fitting name for this world class golf course nestled between the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the beautiful Chéticamp mountains. "Le Portage" is a public golf course built and managed by the community of Chéticamp. Have a pleasant game!
